Roberto Cano was born in Honduras, where he discovered his passion for woodworking at the young age of 11. He began learning the trade from his uncle, who owned a woodworking company and mentored him after school. By 16, Roberto had launched his own woodworking business. While pursuing his college education, he continued to operate and grow his company.

 

Following graduation, Roberto moved to New York City, where he learned English and began working under a mentor who introduced him to the unique dynamics of the business landscape in the U.S. In 2002, he co-founded a woodworking company serving developers and contractors throughout the city. After 12 successful years, he established his own firm—Cano's Wood Interiors, Inc.

 

Roberto considers listening to clients’ needs the most rewarding part of his work, as it sparks his creativity and allows him to develop clear, customized solutions.

 

“The best feeling,” he says, “is when I get to show the client the final project and they are blown away.”
